EHTEL co-organises together with ESKI (National Institute for Strategic Health Research, Hungary) a meeting of its ELO Network of eHealth Competence Centres. eHealth Innovation Project: Chronic Disease Management for an Ageing Population - Good Practice and Innovative Solutions EC Workshop (By invitation only)

Europe needs more person-centred health services. Challenges are how to

  • motivate and support people to care about their health
  • ensure integrated care infrastructures and innovative ICT solutions
  • engage health professionals, service providers, other stakeholders
  • interpret evidence and build business cases

This workshop focuses on innovative service solutions for chronic disease management for an ageing population. Good practice cases (a chronic care service in the Netherlands; successful patient guidance systems; patient access to their data) are analysed in their national contexts. Successful innovation strategies require co-operation among clinician, industry, insurer, patient, and clear business perspectives.. Priority challenges that need to be addressed will be identified.

This by invitation only workshop is organised by the eHealth Innovation project - a Thematic Network co-funded by the European Commission.
